About the hand

The readable layer is a renamed OFL derivative of Joscelyn. Neville’s complete optional lowercase draws on four Cecil letters from 1601–1603, controlled against HMC Salisbury Papers, vol. 11 and vol. 12. The documentary j is Neville’s period i/j form; x and z each rest on one clean exemplar.
